About Vivitsa Elearning
Vivitsa eLearning has been founded with the objective of attracting more and more people to the joys of knowledge, and that includes students as well as parents. We would strive to introduce innovation on a regular basis that would make academics less of a burden, and acquisition of knowledge more of a joy.
The company has been founded by a group of IIT, Kanpur graduates, who, after achieving success in their professions, decided to step into the world of education. The founding team also has a former Vice-Chancellor of IGNOU, who was also a Professor at IIT, Kanpur. The team comprises the following people:
Prem Shankar
As the Founder CEO, Prem has been instrumental in conceptualizing and implementing the ideas at Vivitsa. He brings with him 19 years of experience in the software domain, complemented by his keen understanding of the manufacturing industry and their IT needs.
Prem's former role as head of the Indian operations of US-based Synapsis Technology Inc. included setting up their operations and driving the rapid growth of the company in India. His career was shaped in companies like Telco, TCS and Altair Engineering. Early in his career, he excelled in his work at different locations in the world with the best companies.
Prem has completed his Bachelor's and Master's of Technology in Mechanical Engineering from IIT, Kanpur. Numerous of his works have been published in industry trade publications.
Prem relaxes with listening to music or reading a book whenever he finds the time for it. This apart, he reserves all his leisure hours for quality time with wife Mona and daughters, Vivitsa and Ayonija.
Avinash K Gautam
Avinash is the Founder and a Director of Vivitsa, and has been one of the driving forces behind strategy and direction of Vivitsa. He has over 19 years of experience in complex product development and senior leadership. A keen interest in learning methods and education drove him to found Vivitsa along with Prem.
Prior to Vivitsa, Avinash was managing the India Design Center of Montalvo Systems where he set up a team of 150 strong engineers working on a very complex product development. Before that he was a General Manager at Texas Instruments and was managing a team of 200 engineers developing various products for Texas Instruments. He has experience in managing operations in India as well as USA.
Avinash has a Bachelor's degree from IIT-Kanpur and a Masters degree from IISc Bangalore. He has several publications in reputed journals and has won EDN Asia component of the year award twice.
An avid reader and a regular soccer player, Avinash spends rest of the free time with his wife Nisha and sons Kunal and Rohan, and also likes to go out on long drives.
Prof MM Pant
As Chief Mentor of Vivitsa, Prof Pant has been continuously inspiring the Vivitsa team with his vast reserve of ideas. He creatively uses his vast experience in education, coupled with his comfort with the latest Technological tools, to explore new frontiers in education. A Ph.D in Computational Physics, along with a Professional Law Degree, and has been a practitioner in the fields of Law, IT enabled education and IT implementation.
In his previous positions, Prof. Pant, has been the Former Pro-Vice Chancellor, Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) and has been on the faculty of IIT-Kanpur and MLNR Engineering College, and Faculty & Visiting Professor - University of Western Ontario-Canada. He has several initiatives to his credit, including - introduction of Keller plan in IIT, Kanpur, development of Computer based Learning Systems at IGNOU, computerization of student registration and evaluation at IGNOU.
He has been visiting scientist to research centers in Italy, England, Germany and Sweden and has delivered international lectures with about 80 papers published.
Prof. Pant is presently holding advisory positions with the Government on the education initiatives, and he is also a member of Board of Management, IIT, Delhi.
V Kartikeyan (Kartik)
Kartik is an advisor to Vivitsa and is a founder-Director of Vistas Consulting, a consulting entity in the domain of "enhancing human capability". After a degree from XLRI, Kartik has over 20 years of experience in human resource development. Prior to founding Vistas Consulting, he held senior HR positions in various companies, most recently being Director of Human Resources at Texas Instruments and before that, Head-HR for Motorola Software Group in India.
Kartik is advising Vivitsa on nuances involved in individual development, and also for future strategies of individual-development related services which Vivitsa is planning to offer.
Kartik has numerous achievements to his credit: he guided Texas Instruments India to rank #1 in India in the "Great Places to Work" survey conducted by M/s Great-Places-To-Work Inc., BusinessWorld magazine and Growtalent in 2003, followed by rank #2 in 2004 in the same survey. He is a Fellow of Sumedhas Academy of Human Context, India, an institution engaged in study of personal and organization / group dynamics, and a member of Indian Academy of Organization Development (IAOD), Sumedhas. He is trained and authorized to administer the Existential Universe Mapper (EUM) and the Organization Identity Mapper (OIM) and also trained as a Leadership Coach.
